Renowned country music artist Toby Keith dies at the age of 62.

Country music singer-songwriter Toby Keith has passed away at the age of 62, as confirmed by his publicist.

Keith’s death occurred on Monday, according to his publicist, and was announced on his official website and on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The statement on Keith’s website reads, “Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time.”

In 2022, Keith revealed on social media that he had been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for stomach cancer since fall 2021. “So far, so good,” he mentioned at the time, expressing his need for time to recuperate.

Having been a prominent figure in country music for three decades, Keith achieved success with hits like “Red Solo Cup,” “How Do You Like Me Now?!” and “Beer For My Horses,” a collaboration with Willie Nelson.
